Full Description
The leveled companion to the Connections textbook. Pre-order now.
One shared textbook, one workbook per child.
This is the workbook half of Connections, Wonderpath's first Hearthstyle curriculum. Every learner in your home reads the shared Connections textbook. Then each child works in the workbook pitched to their level, so the same story, the same three artists, and the same threads of connection meet a six year old and a sixteen year old each exactly where they stand.
Choose your learner's level below. Add one workbook for each child. If you have not yet, pick up the shared textbook too, and save $10 when you buy them together.
How the workbooks grow with your learner
Every workbook shares the same textbook and the same three core artists, Hokusai, Blair, and Quick-to-See Smith. What changes is depth, and at the upper levels, reach.
Primary and Elementary follow the three core artists, pitched to their age, with movement, art invitations, vocabulary, and reflection sized for younger learners.
Middle School keeps the three and adds a fourth, Ai Weiwei, opening the theme toward contemporary art, activism, and connection across borders.
High School goes furthest. It carries all three core artists, keeps Ai Weiwei, and adds two more, Georgia O'Keeffe and Alfred Stieglitz, whose decades-long partnership in life and art, her paintings and his photographs and the letters that passed between them, is itself a living study in connection. Because it covers three to four additional artists in real depth, the High School workbook runs longer than the others, and is priced accordingly.
The four movements, in every workbook
Woven through each workbook are the four movements that run the length of Wonderpath, entry, evidence, uncertainty, and expression, pitched to the learner's level. Noticing before naming for the youngest, evaluating sources and building an argument for the oldest. The workbook meets a child where they are rather than where a grade level says they should be.
What we promise
Every fact sourced. Every culture treated with care. Honest about what scholars do not know. Globally inclusive, never whitewashed, secular throughout. Academic rigor carried in warm, human prose. Curious, secular, and beautifully feral.
